 Hello and welcome!  I am excited that you found my page and look forward to taking you on the journey through our lives.  Where do we begin?  My husband, Chase, and I met on Facebook... back when Facebook was only for college kids the summer before we both attended UNC-Charlotte.  We weren't even from the same place or didn't have any mutual friends, so how we became connected has truly been a mystery.  Things didn't work out for us when we first got to college, but we knew there was something there.  Several years later and a few relationships later, we found each other again.  Fast-forward 9 years later... we have 2 kids, 3 dogs, moved 5 times, and we wouldn't change.

Living Our Best Life Summer 2018

This summer has been nothing but magical.  I was able to spend every moment with my two little ones.  Who wouldn't want to do that!?  The best part is, that we had no plans.  Every day was a blank canvas for us to paint what we wanted.  We went to the library, splash pad, water park, to the pool.  You name it, we did it. As my time with them is drawing to an end, I reflect on the summer and the many things I have learned. 1.  Being a stay at home mom is hard work, but I would gladly do it if I was given the opportunity. 2.  Girls and boys are totally different.  Lilly is sweet and loving.  Clay is too, but can turn into Bam Bam at any moment. 3.  Kids have selective hearing.  They listen when they want to and ignore you A LOT. 4.  People with multiple children are my heroes.  I watched a little baby this summer and having three kids was exhausting.  I was determined not to let three kids stop us from do...

The Goat

 My daughter, Lilly, is 4.  Her entire life, she has been the easy kid.  The kid that you can take anywhere and not worry about.  One was easy and terrible two's was not a thing.  Then she turned 3 and started to have an opinion about everything.  We could deal with that.  She ate well, slept well, and listened well.  She has always been that kid who you can talk to and explain things to her and she understands. Then, Clay was born.  It is like the world said to us, "Y'all have had it easy for a long time.  Now let's see how you do with this one!"  Not cool world, not cool.  It's like a constant battle with Lilly every day about everything.  Literally everything!  "Mommy, you didn't come get me last night to go potty." "Mommy, I don't want to do that."  "That's not how you play this mommy."  It's like she is the queen and we are the sorry people. She is now four.  Her new battle is bed time....

Year 6

I have been a pubic school teacher in North Carolina for 6 years.  Six long and tiring years.  To say that I've loved every minute of it would be a lie, but I couldn't image myself doing anything different.  Year 6 has been my hardest year yet.  Why after 6 years would something be the hardest?  Shouldn't it get easier?  I blame CHANGE for all of my struggles this year.  This year, my family returned to Concord, NC after an extended vacation (8 months) in Wilmington, NC.  We had a new baby.  WE moved in with our friends and then moved in to our own house.  We both started new jobs.  We started a small business.  Lilly started dance and Clay decided he wasn't going to sleep at night.
